HOW IT WORKS:

BOOK YOUR BABY

I recommend booking at least 3 months in advance of your due date, if not sooner! Newborn sessions are captured within the first 14 days of life, when your baby will be sleeping deeply & curling up naturally for those precious newborn poses. I book a limited number of newborn sessions per month to ensure availability around your due date. I offer sessions on weekday mornings/afternoons and limited Saturday availability. If you require a Saturday date for a your session, please let me know at the time of booking. I require a $75.00 deposit to book the session & the remaining balance is due the day of the session.

I have past newborn experience from working on the Mother-Baby Unit at the Regina General Hospital as the full-time baby photographer for 2 years. I have had my own photography business since 2012 and have had the pleasure of working with many newborns over the years. I can't wait to work with all the precious 2024 newborns!

QUESTIONNAIRE & INFO GUIDE

Once you are booked, I will e-mail you a newborn session guide / questionnaire with all the info you'll need to prep you for your session. Please contact me within 1-3 days of baby's birth. We will then book your baby's photo session before they reach 14 days old! Most babies are typically around 10 days of age at their session.

THE SESSION

Photos are done in my photography studio located in east Regina. A typical session starts with beanbag poses in adorable wraps & bonnets. Next we move to poses in props like crates, bowls etc. Baby is generally wrapped for the entire session unless requested otherwise. From there we will do 'parents with baby' photos. Siblings are welcome to get photos with their new baby brother or sister as well. There is an additional fee of $25.00 for siblings photographed. The average session is about 1.5 hours.

The studio is a relaxed and peaceful environment, and my priority is always your comfort and the safety of your newborn. I patiently take the time to perfect each pose. A gentle and detailed approach allows me to capture those precious moments that become the most beautiful, meaningful photos :)

RECEIVING YOUR IMAGES

Turnaround time for the completion of the editing of your images is approximately 10 days. Once editing has been completed, you’ll receive a link VIA e-mail to your private online gallery containing high quality retouched images. Feel free to download the images and share with family & friends.

OPITIONAL USB

You can purchase a USB with your images for an additional $35+TAX. I can mail it to you ASAP. I know life with a baby can be a little hectic ;) Please do not hesitate to ask any questions you may have. I would love the opportunity to capture your baby's first weeks of life!

Frequently Asked Questions

When should I book my session?

As soon as you can! I book a limited amount of newborns per month for flexibility for my clients. Newborns aren’t always born on their due date- they are very unpredictable! I recommend at least 3 months prior to your due date.

How do we pick a date when we don't know when the baby will arrive?

I will add your due date to my calendar and once your baby arrives, I will let you know what times I have available. We will book your session within first 14 days of your baby's life. Don't worry, I know babies can be 2-3 weeks early or even 10 days late! Either way, we will make something work for your little babe.

When is the best time to photograph our new baby?

I photograph all of my newborn sessions within the first 14 days of your baby's life. The next milestone session is 6 months or 1 year.

How long is a newborn session?

The average session is 1.5 hours. If baby is super sleepy and easy to work with, we may only need 1 hour! We can stop as often as needed to cuddle or feed your baby if they are fussy. During your session, I do not require a lot of assistance. This means you can kick back and watch your little ones modelling debut!

What days/times do you schedule your newborn sessions?

I book most newborn sessions between 9am-2pm during the week and some Saturdays. Please let me know at time of booking if you require a Saturday appointment.

Do we need to supply the props:

Nope! I have blankets, wraps, hats, headbands, outfits, buckets, crates, baskets, etc for your session. You are welcome to bring meaningful props you’d like to include in the photos but it is not necessary. Please let me know in advance if you plan on bringing something to include in the photos. I need time to prep before your session!

How do I book?

I require a deposit of $75.00 on all sessions. Once I receive the deposit, I will send you an invoice with the remaining amount (due the day of the session) along with a Newborn Session Guide / Questionnaire to prep you for your session.
